Tucked away in the tranquil Karoo Yard in The Willows, Fermier Restaurant offers an immersive farm-to-table experience that celebrates sustainability, seasonality, and South African culinary artistry.


The Experience

Fermier, meaning “farmer” in French, is a vision brought to life by Chef Adriaan Maree. The restaurant aims to be entirely self-sustainable, sourcing ingredients locally and crafting everything—from furniture to cutlery—by hand. The ambiance is rustic yet refined, with a single dinner seating each evening, allowing guests to fully engage with the meticulously curated eight-course tasting menu.


Menu & Pricing

The set menu is priced at R900 per person, with an optional wine pairing available for R450. The menu evolves with the seasons, ensuring a fresh and unique experience each visit. Expect dishes that highlight local produce and innovative culinary techniques.

Directions: Upon entering Karoo Yard, follow the wooden Fermier sign. The road will lead you to the parking area, where staff will welcome you and guide you along a lit pathway to the restaurant entrance.
